Scholarship and Grant Awards Presentation Ceremony Macau University of Science and Technology

The Scholarship and Grant Awards Presentation Ceremony was held in the N 101, Library Building, Macau University of Science and Technology in 14 November, 2014. There are 23 items of Scholarship, Grant and Excellence Award, totally presented for 147 students with outstanding academic performance.

Institutional representatives which attended the ceremony and presented including: Mr.Eddie Kong, Chief Executive Office of Banco Comercial de Macau; Mr Ronald Kan, Executive Director of Banco Nacional Ultramarino,Macau; Mr.Jiang Kui Wei, Assistant General Manager of Bank of China, Macau Branch; Mr.Tsoi Wai Kei,Deputy Director General of Henry Fok Foundation; Ms.Io Wai Ieng,Head of the Scholarships Division of Macao Foundation, Mr. Zhao Yu Fu, General Counsel of Nam Kwong(Group)Company Limited; Ms. Katy Lo, Director of Chief of Executive Committee Office of Macau International Airport CO. Limited; Ms.Amy Lee, Vice President of Human Resource of Sands China Limited; Mr. David Lo, Associate Director of Business Training and Development Department of AIA International Limited; Mr.Anthony Wong, Senior Human Resource Manager of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited; Ms Paula Yung, Senior Manager of Human Resource of Companhia de Telecomunicações de Macau, S.A.R.L.‎; Mr. Felix Chan,Chief Consumer Banking Office of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China(Macau)Limited; Ms. Wanda Wong, Assistant General Manager of Executive Office of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China(Macau)Limited;Ms.Zang Jing,Manager of Corporate Sales Dept. of China Telecom(Macau) Company Limited; Mr. Alvin Chen, Circulation& Marketing Assistant Manager of China Daily Asia Pacific; Ms Celia Cheong, Deputy Secretary General of Inspirational Youth Association Macau; Representatives of Sun Hung Kai Financial and Macau Fair and Trade Association.

In addition to the representatives of the above institutions, the ceremony was also attended by Chair Prof. Liu Liang, President of Macau University of Science and Technology; Prof. Zhang Shu Guang, Senior Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology and Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management; Prof. Chen Xi, Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology; Prof. Tang Ze Sheng, Academic Advisor of Macau University of Science and Technology; Prof. Chan Lai Kow, Dean of School of Business; Mr. Kwong Ying Wa, Director of School of Continuing Studies; Prof. Zhang Zhi Qing, Executive Vice Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Arts; Prof. Lam Wai Kei, Vice Dean of Faculty of Health Science; Prof. Liang Yong, Assistant Dean of Faculty of Information Technology and Prof. Zhou Hua, Assistant Dean of Faculty of Chinese Medicine, etc.

Chair Professor Liu Liang, the President stated that students should grant gaining more achievements in the aspect of ambition, diligence, morality and self-cultivation as their motto. Meanwhile, with the expectation of institutions, they ought to strive for higher accomplishment and make contribution to society and country.

In order to encourage the students with outstanding academic performance, the institutional representatives presented awards and affirmation to them through the Scholarship and Grant Awards Presentation Ceremony and expressed hope for them to keep fighting for the future. In addition, the ceremony also motivated the other students for hard working in study and improved their performance.

After the awards ceremony, Ms. Suki Tang, the representative of awarded students, extended her sincere thanks to the institutions’ generosity and said that it is the highest reputation for them to win the scholarship. As the old saying goes on “Make still further progress”, she also promise to spur herself on to great effort in study with this spirit and cherish any chances to learn and advance for achieving her goals.

At the end of the Presentation Ceremony, Chair Professor Liu Liang, the President presents certificates for gratitude to extend his deepest thanks to the institutions for supporting and trusting all the times. And sincerely hope that friends and colleagues of all sectors of the community continuous to support the development of Macau University Science and Technology! Meanwhile, we gratefully thanks to Bank of China, Macau Branch for donating two million MOP in the use of MUST development.
