The final results of the election were selected by more than 40 judges from different schools, associations and enterprises in eight interviews for three days with test scores calculated. The awardee WenLe Tang sincerely expressed: “Before the Volunteer Awards are announced, I never thought I would win this honor. So this award means definitely a surprise and encouragement to me. I'm grateful for the judges' recognition, and the experience from every support and opportunity in Social Service Team for the past three years. Although the passion for volunteering was deep-rooted in my heart when I was a kid, I never expected it could be a possible path in my university life. And in this path, which was originated from the initial dream that I have been upholding for a long time. Looking back on the past volunteer experiences, those places measured by steps——coastline of Seac Pai Van, old streets and alleys of Macau, jungle of Ka Ho……And those immersive days and nights——held stalls, sold flags and walked for millions to fundraise for charity and every word typed down for each project, every stage property prepared for each activity……It is these experiences that give me the opportunity to know more about the world around me, to experience, to feel, and to discover the deeper part of life. And the passion for volunteering that were buried in my heart at the beginning also took root in this process and slowly grew stronger. In the days ahead, I am determined to live up to the expectations carried by this honor, hoping to keep making some subtle changes to this world.
