Research Group: Astrobiology

Our team is conducting research in the following fields:

• Limits of Life: Bacteria, Archaea, and Fungi (Biodiversity, ecology, adaptations, and bioprospection of marine and extreme environments)
• Geobiology: Biosignature and microbial preservation.
• Geomicrobiology: Interaction between microbes and minerals or metals and applications for space materials.
• Development of new Bioinformatics Tools, Databases, and Lab Techniques.
• Astrobiology and Planetary Protection.
