In order to strengthen all-round communication between MUST and Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University, promoting mutual friendship and cultivate excellent players, MUST Football Team went to Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University on May 10, 2015 and played a friendly match with its football team.
At 2:30 in the afternoon, MUST Football Team arrived at the Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University and received warm welcome from its students. At 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the highly anticipated match was officially kicked off. The game was split into two halves of 45 minutes each. In the first half, players of Jilin University with more skilled teamwork and fierce fight dominated the match, and scored two points because of MUST Football Team’s two defense errors. Whereafter MUST Football Team gradually found the pace, although they created several scoring chances, unfortunately they missed them. Before the end of the first half, Jilin University football team extended the lead with a penalty kick so that MUST 0-3 lost in the first half. In the second half, MUST gradually occupied the initiative through their relatively better physical prowess, but the gap between them was too big to narrow easily, ultimately Jilin University preserved its 4-1 lead with each scoring a goal. After the game, players of both sides posed for photos together, forged a deep friendship and expressed their wish that they could have more opportunities to communicate with each other in the future.
The friendly match enhanced the cohesion of players from both Zhuhai Campus of Jilin University and MUST, helped learn from each other and showed the spirit of teamwork and courage to fight. Li Feiyang, the captain of MUST Football Team, said that this game gave them the opportunity to exercise, from which they saw the deficiency and disparity of the whole team and hoped that they could improve themselves in all respects through more positive training and competitions.
