The final of the “Youth speech of MUST” Speech Contest sponsored by Macao University of Science and Technology, organized by the Culture & Sports Development Office of MUST and co-organized by the Office of Student Affairs of MUST was successfully held on November 27, 2022 in the Auditorium of Block D of MUST. This competition is jointly supported by the Foundation of MUST, the Alumni Association of MUST and Fire Musical Art Troupe.
This final consists of two parts, which are prepared speech and impromptu speech. During the competition, the Master of Ceremonies Team and the National Dance Team from the Art Troupe of MUST also presented wonderful recitations and dance performances. In the first session, 12 contestants from different academies. “China's Diplomacy Under the Unprecedented Changes in a Century”, “What is the Future of Human Society in the Post-Pandemic Era”, “Constitution of China and I / Basic Law of China and I”, and “A Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”. After that, in the impromptu session, the topics are assigned by lottery. Therefore, the contestants’ reflection on his or her own experience makes the speech more vivid and persuasive.
In the end, the jury spoke highly of the students' speech performance and made a profound summary. Finally, the jury selects a variety of awards and announces that the top three after discussion. “Youth speech of MUST” Speech Contest successfully came to an end. This unforgettable contest lets us see a nation's confidence of growing stronger from the young people’s passion of expressing their thoughts. Youth speech can not only improve the ability of expression of young people, but also encourage youth to actively express their own views, and cultivate their love for China and Macao.
