Reminders on Book Ordering, Payment and Collection

In order to make sure that our students will have all the necessary studying materials on hand in the coming semester, students will be given access to the ordering system before the current semester comes to an end.  Students can place orders for the textbooks via the Textbooks Ordering System (TOS).

I.Getting Online

Website: Entering the Textbooks Ordering System (TOS) from the Homepage of Macau University of Science and Technology or log on directly to https://coes-stud.must.edu.mo/tosv2stu

  1. User ID: same as Student ID on campus card
  2. Password: same as that of the Online Enrolment System

II.Placing an Order

  1. Ordering period: Orders should be placed within the prescribed dates and time announced by the Centre for Book Publishing and Supply.

  2. Subscribers have to specify the textbooks and the quantities they need when placing an order. Please press “Enter” one by one to confirm the order.

  3. The Centre will take the last record entered by the subscriber during the subscription period as his/her final order and charges will be processed accordingly.

  4. When placing or revising an order during the subscription period, subscribers has to press “Enter” to confirm their orders.  Subscribers are therefore reminded to check their order list after pressing “Enter” and it is also recommended that a copy be printed for self reference.

  5. Reminders: According to the terms and conditions stipulated in the intellectual property agreement, keeping, selling or using any photocopied textbooks from the Mainland will constitute a breach of Macao’s laws.

III.Paying, Collecting Books and FinesNote

  1. Students have to pay for the orders within the prescribed period announced by the University; the order will be canceled by the system automatically if it has not been paid. (This regulation does not apply to the orders of New coming students of the Postgraduate Program from June to July)
  2. Students have to collect the textbooks within the prescribed period announced by the University; should a student late to collect his books (30 days late at the most); he has to pay a storage charge.
  3. Books will be stored for 30 days at the most day after any collection period, the University will not handle late book collection(except the books are out of stock or supplementary order). The University will dispose the books at its own discretion and payments are not refundable.
  4. In case of late delivery of books, the Centre will post on its bulletin board the new schedule for book collection.  Students have to check the university notice and collect their books accordingly, otherwise, the University will dispose the books and the amount paid will be handled according to the terms stipulated in No. 2&3 of “Section III.Paying, Collecting Books and Fines”.

  5. In case if any faculty makes changes to the textbook list or any publisher has revised the price of any of the textbook(s), the students will be advised of the cost differences either by receiving a refund or making additional payments before they collect the book(s).

  6. Students must keep their payment slips properly and books can only be collected upon presentation of the payment slips during the collection period. If the student has lost the receipt, the student can collect the textbooks only after applying for reissues.

  7. All the fees stipulated above will be rounded up or down to the nearest dollar.

The university will decide whether to set up the unified supplementary ordering period according to the situation of each semester.

  1. Bulletin board of the Centre for Book Publishing and Supply.

  2. Ground floor of the Academic Building, Block B.

  3. Via students’ university emails.

VII.Others

  1. All students are reminded not to disclose their user IDs and passwords of TOS to other people.  They are fully liable for any losses caused due to disclosure of the information.

Note Types of fines and calculations: ① storage charge for one day = $2, the longest storage period will be 30 days that is $60; ②freight = Total cost x 20%; ③handling charge: $5 for each Chinese textbook, $10 for each English textbook; ④Receipt reissue fee is $10 each.
