As a way to give back to the Community as well as enhance social responsibility, FHTM organized “Bread for the Heart” event, as part of the celebration of MUST 18th Anniversary.
On the morning of April 7, students of the Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management program, under the guidance of Culinary Art Instructor Miss Mary Judalee Pestano Ote, prepared 50 packages of bread. FHTM teachers Dr. Jose Wong, Ms. Selena Hong, and Dr. Pai Chen Kuo, together with four student volunteers assisted in wrapping and packing the breads. The breads were delivered to “The Home of Children” in the afternoon. Student volunteers also learned the daily operation and children’s living condition during the event.
MUST has been devoting to cultivate all-round development talents, and consistently making outstanding contributions to the developments of Macao. Although it was a one-day event, volunteers felt whole-heartily the significance of this event when seeing the smiling face on each child. It is hoped this event will encourage more students to do good deeds, be kind, care for the weak and give children spiritual comforts. Meanwhile, we expect the event will bring warmth to the whole society.
