On March 18, 2019 students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of MUST visited the Ritz Carlton Hotel Macau. The aim of this visit was to enable students to understand the internal operations of the hotel.
Firstly, the students visited the restaurants including one which serves French cuisine with high quality afternoon tea and French dinner as well as a Chinese restaurant located at the 51st floor serving Cantonese food. From the Chinese restaurant, guests could enjoy the beauty of the Cotai Strip from the full floor windows. The restaurant provides guests with ambience atmosphere while enjoying fine dining which matches perfectly the hotel’s mission in providing personalized variety services. Students then visited the hotel’s banquet ballroom, bar, and suites, etc. The manager introduced the peculiar meticulous service and also the hotel culture. During the Q&A session, the manager answered students’ questions patiently, explaining further on the hotel operation philosophy which benefited students a lot.
This visit was strongly supported by the Ritz-Carlton hotel which allowed students to know better about hotel industry by observing with their own eyes the hotel operation and work environment. FHTM is grateful to Ritz-Carlton hotel for providing such a valuable chance for the students. It’s believed that after this visit, students will have more different choices in finding their future internship, injecting fresh blood to the hotel industry.
