FHTM Master and PhD students visited Shenzhen for experiential learning

The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology, Dr. Zhang Yang led a total of 47 master and doctoral students to Shenzhen for experiential learning On November 29, 2019. During this study tour, the group visited the Shekou Cruise Center and Shenzhen Tourism College of Jinan University. In Shekou Cruise Center, the group visited the international port side and was also provided the opportunity to observe the internal operations of the Cruise Center first hand. Meanwhile the Shekou Cruise Center’s managers explained the historical development as well as and the value of the Maritime Silk Road in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In Shenzhen Tourism College of Jinan University, the group visited teaching facilities such as the wine tasting laboratory, training hotel and kitchen. Later on, the students from both schools interacted in the media meeting room. During the visit, associate professor Xiaoli Yi of Shenzhen Tourism College of Jinan University shared the experience of research and paper writing which is very helpful and inspirational to the students..
