On November 26, 2020, Dr. Feng Yan -- the Program Director of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Macau University of Science and Technology, led the students on a visit to the Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club in Dongguan, Guangdong, and was given a warm welcoming by the club's General Manager Mr. Samuel Chen and his team. The event is sponsored by the Macao Foundation.
During the visit, General Manager Mr. Chen introduced the Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club’s mission and history. Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club was founded in 2007 by Mr. Li Zhenqiang, an athlete of the Chinese National Equestrian Team, who has the title of "Master Sportsman" awarded by the State Sports General Administration. Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club is located in Chang'an Town, Dongguan City. The club covers an area of 50,000 square meters. It integrates equestrianism, riding, business meetings, catering, accommodation, sports, recreation, and leisure. The club has indoor and outdoor equestrian practice venues. Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club is one of the largest equestrian club in mainland China and the training base of the Chinese National Equestrian Team. At the meeting, Mr. Chen shared his experience of managing the equestrian club to the students and pointed out that the concept of the membership is essential for the development of the club. He encouraged the students to actively participate in the club’s internship project and to gain valuable experience, which will lay a solid foundation for future career development. The students said that this visit gave them the opportunity to experience the service in club and to enrich their understanding of club management and equestrian sports.
After the meeting, Dr Feng Yan, on behalf of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Macau University of Science and Technology, exchanged gifts with Mr. Chen, and the students took a group photo with the equestrian team.
