On the morning of November 10，2016，the first Shizi Gate Master Lectureof 2016-2017 academic year was held successfully in N211 lecture hall at MUST. The lecture was hold by Faculty of Law， Macau University of Science and Technology , and sponsored by the Macau Foundation and the Macau University of Science and Technology Foundation. The lecture was honored to invite Professor Wu Handong, the former headmaster of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, the director of the Center for Intellectual Property of this University, to give the lecture. Prof. Wu’s lecture was on the topic of “Innovation Development and Intellectual Property”.
Professor Wu is the Honorary President of the Intellectual Property Research Society of China Law Society and the Vice Chairman of the Law Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of China. As the authoritative scholar of intellectual property law research in China, Prof. Wu has been awarded the "Global IPR 50 most influential people" listed by the UK "Intellectual Property Management" (MIP) Annual twice.
During his lecture, Prof. Wu basicly analyzed the international development trend of IPR, then introduced and evaluated the Chinaual property law research in China, Prof. Wu has been awarded the "Globtional IPR strategy under the global competition background. Prof. Wu Stressed the importance of the management and application of intellectual property rights and expressed his expectation of Chinese industry from "Made in China" to "Chinese Brand". During the Q&A session, Professor Wu and the students had a warm discussion around the topic, and he also answered the most-concerned questions from students. Finally, the lecture was successfully concluded with a big round of applause from the guests and the students.
