Freshmen Orientation for Faculty of Law students was held on 3 September 2019. Professor Fang Quan, the Executive Vice Dean, the Faculty staffs, freshmen and some of the parents were participated in this orientation.
Professor Fang Quan, the Executive Vice Dean of Faculty of Law, presented a welcome speech on that day. She mentioned this was the first time that the number of the postgraduate students was more than the undergraduate students since the establishment of the Faculty of Law. In which meant that the Faculty was ushered in a new stage of development. Professor Fang hoped that the students could become the knowledgeable, skillful, visionary and affectionate talents.

Assistant Professor Zhou Ting, representative of teachers of Faculty of Law, shared his own experience during the orientation and hoped that the students could build up their conceptual awareness, logical consciousness, sense of social responsibility and value consciousness throughout the M.U.S.T. life.
The representative of undergraduate students expressed his mood as of a freshman and the longing for the university life.
The representative of postgraduate students believed that learning was not only for the knowledge, but also a way to understand yourself. Therefore, he encouraged the juniors to seek for the true essence of learning.
Assistant Professor Bi Jingwei, Program Director of Doctoral Degree introduced the regular academic events and competitions to the freshmen, such as: Shizi Gate Master Lecture, Shizi Gate Law Forum, Guanying Cup Legal Essay Contest and Wangyang Cup Law Debate Competition, etc. He also announced the coming events detail which welcome the students to participate in.
Dean’s Honor List was presented and students who assisted the Faculty of Law were also awarded during the orientation.
