Law students won the third prize of International Criminal Court Chinese Moot Competition

Students from the Faculty of Law won the third prize in the ICC Moot Court Competition 2021 in the Chinese language. The Faculty of Law team consisted of five undergraduate students, namely Zhang Jiayu, Zhang Yuteng, Fang Haocheng, Yu Ziyi, and Wang Wenyao. Dr. Xue Wenchao (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Wang Jia (Assistant Professor) acted as coaches.

The International Criminal Court Chinese Moot Court Competition (ICC Chinese Competition) is based on the ICC's physical and procedural rules. The ICC has been promoting the moot court competition in its six official languages (English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic). ICC Chinese Competition is the only one of the many international law moot court competitions that can be held in Chinese and outside the Greater China region. The 2021 ICC Chinese Competition attracted 72 teams from law schools in China, including Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Fudan University, and Wuhan University.
