On April 6, 2022, Director of the Research Centre for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution of the Faculty of Law, MUST, Associate Professor Shen Yun Qiao and Assistant Professor Xie Geng Liang were invited to attend “the Certificate Presentation Ceremony of the Course on Financial Consumption Disputes Mediation and the Basic Course on Arbitration”, which was held at the Arbitration Center of World Trade Center, Macau. 26 students finally obtained their certificates after completing the“ Basic Course on Arbitration”and passing the examination. This is the second time for the two sides join hands together after the Faculty of Law supported the Arbitration Center of World Trade Center, Macau to set up the Basic Courses on Arbitration for the first time in 2021. The President of the Arbitration Center of World Trade Center, Macau Mr. Tsui Jackson expressed his thanks to the MUST Faculty of Law in his speech.

In recent years, the MUST Faculty of Law has signed cooperation agreements with Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration and Hainan International Arbitration Court expanding external exchanges and cooperation in legal education and practical teaching of laws. Many of the faculty teaching staff and researchers of the Centre work as arbitrators, mediators and expert consultants in well-known academic research institutions, arbitration institutions and mediation institutions. They also gave lectures in the Arbitration Center of World Trade Center, Macau, completed several research projects and papers and hosted a number of high-quality academic seminars.
In response to the development trend of pluralistic dispute resolution, as one of the research institutes specializing in arbitration and dispute resolution in Macao, the Centre will be rooted in Macao and the Greater Bay Area, it will continue to carry forward close cooperation with the Arbitration Center of World Trade Center, Macau and other institutions to enhance the exchange of arbitration between Macao and other regions, striving to set up a first-class research platform for arbitration and dispute resolution in Greater China with the mission of promoting the research of arbitration and dispute resolution in Macao.
