We are pleased to receive news that several graduate students of 2022 have been accepted by law schools of world-renowned universities. According to incomplete figures, several graduates have been accepted by universities including University of California, Berkeley, University College London, The London School of Economics and Political Science, The University of Edinburgh, King's College London, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Manchester, Washington University in St. Louis, Boston University, University of Southern California, University of Glasgow, Vanderbilt University, Georgetown University, Durham University, Goethe University Frankfurt, University of Lisbon.
Our faculty always puts emphasis on both theories teaching and practices, as well as makes ongoing efforts to upgrade curriculum to nurture comprehensive talents to meet the demands of development of Macao and the world. We always actively carry out academic and teaching exchange activities, organize competitions and seminars and encourage students to participate in well-known competitions with the purpose to inspire their awareness of competition and improve their practical abilities. Students of our faculty won many awards in professional competitions in recent years, from which they could enrich experiences and highlight their backgrounds when applying for overseas universities. The Legal Practice and Education Centre of our faculty provides a platform for students to practice in famous law firms. We often invite eminent legal professionals from the Mainland, Hong Kong S.A.R, Macao S.A.R and Taiwan Province of China or foreign countries to give lectures in our faculty, which can broaden students‘academical viewpoints. In addition, we also invite excellent graduates to share their experience and make suggestions on further study and career orientation. An increasingly number of well-known overseas universities hold out an olive branch to outstanding students from our faculty, which indicates our achievements in nurturing students.

Time stops for no one, and the seasons keep changing. The four years passed in a flash, the scene of studying and living here in M.U.S.T as if it were yesterday.. The hazy road to my legal career has become promising and hopeful under the wholehearted guidance of teachers in the Faculty of law in the passing four years, which also makes me be confident and spunky to go forward. Life like a law case, everyone has his own unique viewpoint when making a specific analysis. There is never a standard answer. What is of importance is the process in which we try our best to do everything possible to lead a desirable life. Only in this way, will we find it bright and colorful when we look back on the past in the future. As the saying goes, there is nothing in life that always goes well. After the darkness is over, there will be rays of light waiting for you. In the process of studying laws, I have realized that we need to make proper plans for our life indeed, but just as laws could be lagging behind, not all things will happen as we wish, what we can do is to improve ourselves and work hard instead of being regretful, so that we will see the light penetrating dark clouds. Never say it is too late because of old age. Even at twilight, the sky is still full of sunshine. All things appear when appropriate, and every minute is the best moment to study hard. It is time to say goodbye with our alma mater when phoenix trees bloom again. I have studied and lived in the fertile soil of M.U.S.T for four years. I am so fortunate to study here under the guidance of devoted teachers and I am grateful to meet a group of intimate friends who have common goals.“May the youngsters sail through the winds and waves, and will never forget the guidance of teachers”. I will keep maintaining the enthusiasm of striving for what I love. The four years in the Faculty of Law passed in a flash. Four years ago, I came to the university in the mood for restarting. I have gained the joy of success and gloom of failure in the four years, but I have never stopped to go ahead. It is M.U.S.T that brings me courage and confidence, making me realize that life is not a true or false question. Although I am reluctant to leave, life is still going ahead. The days in M.U.S.T is the highlight in my life and the friendship with teachers and classmates is a spiritual weapon which supports me to embark on my new journey. How time flies, the four years slipped away in silence. All sorts of feelings well up in my mind now. The four-year life in the Faculty of Law offered me rare opportunities to participate in various activities which I had never experienced and encounter people who I had never met. Every new experience allowed me to gradually forge bonds with different thinking models and attitudes to life. If it is said that I have once known that solution of confrontation may bring about a superior sense of accomplishment, now the Faculty of Law has given me something which is also precious besides superb academic knowledge and research abilities, that is open-minded attitude and the ability to discover beautiful things in our daily life. Not all things in our life will be satisfactory, it doesn’t mean failure even though it develops out of our expectation. Trying to accept ups and downs in our life means approaching to beauty, pleasure and happiness in another form. The highlighted moment excited me, and times when I talked with congenial classmates also engraved on my mind. I am grateful to all the truths learned in the Faculty of Law, no matter they are about academic knowledge or life.

The time is fleeting like meteors. The four-year life here comes to an end insensibly. I am reluctant to leave as there are too much happiness in my memory. When I came to the university for the first time, I was confused. However, I am composed and steady now, which benefits from the concentrated studying and accumulation of knowledge in the past four years apart from the strong adaptability and optimistic attitudes towards life. It is fortunate to encounter several outstanding classmates. We accompanied and supported each other in the past four years in M.U.S.T. I am also grateful to all teaching staffs for their guidance. The scene of entering the school gate at the first time still lingers on. Now we are graduating from the university all too soon. The four years passed in an instant. The memories of college life here are unforgettable. I am fortunate to make acquaintance with so many great teachers and helpful classmates. Both knowledge I have learned in classrooms or extra-curriculum activities and experiences of participating in study clubs, examinations or competitions equip me to be a matured legal practitioner. What are also precious are the footprints we left in Macao in the past days and nights and the friends I had ever made. I gained courage to express myself and abilities to think deeply and solve problems. I have ever succeeded and failed. I believe all these precious treasures will help me go further on the road. Established in 2000, the Faculty of Law offers undergraduate program of Bachelor of Laws, postgraduate programs in six majors including Master of Laws, Juris Master, Master of Laws in Criminal Justice, Master of International Economic and Commercial Law, Master of International Arbitration, and Doctor of Philosophy in Law in nine majors. In accordance with the principle of “one country, two systems”, the Faculty conducts parallel courses of Macau Law and Chinese Law and implements study of comparative law and cross-border legal issues for its Degree Program of Master of Laws. The Faculty of Law is one of the first batch members of the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau Law Education Alliance and the member of the Asian Law Institute. Together with Macau Anti–Money Laundering Specialists Association, the Faculty established the Macau Exam Centre of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), which is authorized by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists”(ACAMS). It sets up Master of Financial Crime and Supervision program to enhance the regional talent pool of anti-money laundering and financial supervision, serving the area and the Macao society. Moreover, the Faculty established the Research Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, Legal Practice and Education Centre and Macao Centre for Law and Finance. Permitted by the Ministry of Education, our Faculty jointly established the Macau Intellectual Property Research Centre with the Intellectual Property Study Centre of the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, which is a key partner research base out of the Mainland China for Humanitarian and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education. The Macau Research Centre for the Judicial Training Base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established under the cooperation between the Faculty and the judicial training base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Taking the advantage of Macao’s traditional and unique geographic superiority, that is, where the East and the West meet, the Faculty actively carries out foreign academic and teaching exchange activities, and has built up effective cooperative relationships with foreign academic institutions and professional units. The Faculty of Law has formed its unique and distinctive characteristics in the multi-cultural historic context and trend of cross-domain development on law. It is constantly enhancing its overall strength and academic influence, committing to nurturing professional legal talents with dream of rule by law, who are both virtuous and talented and dedicated to serve for people and society.
