In order to actively support and respond to the educational reforms and curriculum optimization at Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), as well as promote the implementation of student-centered Outcomes-based Approach (OBA) teaching methods and enhance teaching management to improve the quality of instruction, the Faculty of Law held an "OBA Curriculum Development and Implementation" workshop on the morning of July 12th. The workshop was chaired by Program Director Xie Gengliang, with the attendance of Dean Fang Quan, Professor Zhu Shihai, Assistant Professors Zhu Feng, Dai Mengliang, Xue Wenchao, Zhou Ting, Xiao Huina, Wang Jia, Wong Wengkuok, Zhou Qin, Wang Wanli, Wang Chao, and Liao Si.
The workshop aimed to comprehensively implement and optimize the OBA system based on the practical teaching experiences of faculty members. During the workshop, the faculty members of the Faculty of Law conducted in-depth discussions on various aspects such as curriculum design, teaching syllabi, and assessment methods, based on real teaching cases and student learning situations. The "OBA Curriculum Development and Implementation" workshop achieved good results, providing rich theoretical guidance and practical suggestions for the teaching team of the Faculty of Law. It also laid a solid foundation for promoting the improvement of teaching standards and collaborative teaching across subjects, further implementing and consolidating the bilingual teaching model with Chinese and English characteristics, and upholding the distinctive features of dual-track teaching of Macau law and Chinese law, as well as interdisciplinary comparative research.
The Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. plans to hold a series of teaching and research workshops during the summer break, aiming to further enhance the faculty team, curriculum development, talent cultivation, and teaching research, providing a solid foundation and guarantee for continuous improvement.
