On the morning of August 29th, Guo Li, Dean and Party Secretary of Peking University Law School, led a delegation to visit the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.). Fang Quan, Dean of the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T., Mou Xiaobo, Program Director, Peng Yunpeng, Assistant Professor, and Zhu Feng, Assistant Professor, attended the reception.
The visiting delegation also included Lu Jiangnan, Deputy Party Secretary of Peking University Law School, Dang Shuping, Director of the Alumni Office of Peking University Law School, and Lu Xinxin, Deputy Director of the Alumni Office of Peking University Law School.

Dean Fang Quan, on behalf of the faculty, warmly welcomed Dean Guo Li and his delegation's visit. She provided detailed introductions to the development of the faculty in terms of student enrollment, faculty team, curriculum design, research highlights, academic platforms, and international cooperation and exchange. Dean Fang Quan mentioned that the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) is one of the four founding faculties of the university and has been practicing the "One Country, Two Systems" principle in the field of legal education. She expressed gratitude for the strong support from Peking University Law School during the establishment of the faculty. Professors Xiao Weiyun, the founding dean, and Wei Zhenying, the vice dean, from Peking University Law School, laid a solid foundation for the development of the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T., and looked forward to further strengthening cooperation and exchanges between the two institutions.
Dean Guo Li expressed gratitude to Dean Fang Quan and the colleagues at the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. for their warm reception. He appreciated the distinct characteristics and steady development of the faculty and introduced recent developments and key areas of focus at Peking University Law School. He mentioned the longstanding connection between the two institutions, with senior members from Peking University Law School having forged deep friendships with colleagues at the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. He emphasized the importance of further enhancing communication and cooperation and expressed the expectation of participating in the construction of the legal system in the Greater Bay Area through collaboration between the two institutions, thus contributing to the development of regional legal cooperation.
During the meeting, participants from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and extensive exchanges on talent cultivation, academic research, and disciplinary construction. They hoped to leverage the respective strengths of both institutions, deepen the integration of disciplines, promote research collaboration and resource sharing, and jointly work towards cultivating more outstanding interdisciplinary legal talents and advancing innovative development in legal research through platforms for faculty and student exchanges and academic research expansion.
This visit further strengthened the communication and cooperation between the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) and top domestic law schools. The Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. will continue to devote itself to international development, collaborate with top domestic and international law schools, and jointly promote the prosperity and progress of legal education.
