On the morning of September 1st, the Faculty of Law held the first meeting of the 2023/2024 Academic Management Committee and a welcome reception for new teachers, chaired by Dean Fang Quan. During the meeting, the faculty provided updates on the teaching arrangements for the new semester and summarized the outcomes of the summer workshops conducted for teachers' teaching and research. Additionally, the faculty announced upcoming activities for the new semester, including student orientation, academic lectures, and student competitions.
The faculty extended congratulations to Professor Yi ZaiCheng and Professor Zhu Shihai for their recent promotions, as well as to Professor Dai Mengliang for receiving the "Best Research Output Award" for the 2022/2023 academic year. The faculty expressed hope that all faculty members would continue to excel in teaching, research, institutional development, and community service in the new academic year.
During the welcome reception, the Faculty of Law warmly welcomed new faculty member Guo Yi Ting and followed the customary practice of inviting the new teacher to give a teaching demonstration. Guo delivered a simulated lecture on the subject she will teach this semester. The faculty members at the faculty positively acknowledged the performance of the new teacher and actively provided teaching experiences and suggestions, hoping that the new teacher would quickly adapt to the teaching position.
