President Liu Liang took Dr. Nick Campbell, Executive Editor of Nature and Head of Nature Publishing Group for Greater China on a tour of the State Key Lab of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, MUST.

Dr. Nick Campbell, Executive Editor of Nature and Head of Nature Publishing Group for Greater China, paid a visit to MUST in the afternoon of November 10, 2015; he was warmly welcomed and received by President Liu Liang, Vice President Su Seng Pang, and Associate Vice President Sun Jian Rong of MUST. 

President Liu Liang gave Dr. Nick Campbell an introduction to the overall development of MUST, and noted that the University has always attached great importance to industrialization and internationalization of research outcomes and valued highly research outcomes of Chinese medicine; this year, in order to foster talents for the field of environmental science and management, the University has newly installed the Macau Environmental Research Institute; the University has also made continuous efforts in improving its teaching and research teams so as to elevate them to international standards, and followed closely the development of systematic engineering and smart computing area; MUST has now become the largest scale comprehensive university in Macau, and has been ranked among the Top 100 Universities in Greater China. Dr. Nick Campbell was impressed by the University’s recent development and gave high acknowledgement to its research achievements, and exchanged views on academic publications with the University management.

After the meeting, accompanied by President Liu Liang, the delegation went on a tour of the State Key Lab of the Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, MUST. Other delegates include Ms. Yan Zi Jun, business development manager of Nature for Greater China, and Ms. Yu Jia Ni, business development manager (talent services) for Greater China.

Following the tour, Dr. Nick Campbell gave a talk at the University, sharing insights with the university faculty on how to publish papers at Nature, which would help the faculty to write up academic papers more effectively; he also gave points on some useful skills that could be used for paper publication at internationally renowned journals so as to improve the research quality.
