Mr. Ye Dabo, Commissioner of the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region visited Macau University of Science and Technology on the morning of February 16, 2016. The guests were warmly welcomed and received by President Liu Liang, Vice President Pang Su Seng, Vice President Chen Xi, and Associate Vice President Pang Chuan of MUST. The two parties exchanged views on education, scientific research, and other topics of common interest.
President Liu Liang gave Commissioner Ye Dabo an introduction of the University’s development, student matters, and research achievements, and thanked the Central Government and the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their tremendous support to MUST. President Liu Liang noted that MUST attaches equal importance to both teaching and research, brings in talents of international characteristics, emphasizes quality and innovation in teaching and research, and aims at fostering excellent patriotic talents for Macau and for our motherland, which adapt to the development of the society.
The Commissioner praised the University’s educational and research achievements, giving recognitions to the University’s contributions to the overall development of Macau and the motherland, and noted that the Commissioner’s Office would continue to provide full support for the University’s development in terms of faculty-building, research, and other aspects.

Escorted by President Liu Liang, Commissioner Ye visited the Lunar and Planetary Science Laboratory – Partner Laboratory of Key Laboratory of Lunar and Deep Space Exploration, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Afterwards, President Liu Liang escorted Commissioner Ye to go on a tour of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine and the Lunar and Planetary Science Laboratory – Partner Laboratory of Key Laboratory of Lunar and Deep Space Exploration, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Other guests that visited MUST together with the Commissioner include Counselor Qiu Weiwei, Ms. Zhu Ting, and Ms. Wang Tingting.
