M.U.S.T. Students Won the First and Second Prize at the “National Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship Contest 2019”

Two teams of Macau University of Science and Technology won the First Prize and the Second Prize in the 9th China National College Student “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenge. Organized by the Ministry of Education, China and co-organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University, was held in Xi’an from 20th to 22nd August, 2019. The 180-plus teams run out among over 50,000 competitors from 1,200 universities nationwide and attended the final competition, including teams from Hong Kong and Macao SAR.

Student team “MUST U” won the National First Prize, and the team members are Chen Yihao, Yuan Yihan, Lu Jiaxin and Fu Han. The other team, “Bouton Creativity Park” won the National Second Prize, and the team members are Wu Fengming, Zhang Ying, Wu Shuwei and You Da. Both teams are supervised by Associate Prof. Tang Huajun, Assistant Prof. Huang Fei, and Assistant Prof. Chiang Cheng Hsin from School of Business, M.U.S.T.

During the final competition, the judgers highly appraised the two teams’ presentation projects and contest performance, and offered some suggestions. Prof. Lin Zhijun, Vice President & Dean of School of Business, expressed that M.U.S.T. has paid a great attention to innovation, creativity & entrepreneurship training for students by providing various courses on innovation and creativity to encourage students to engage in entrepreneurial practices. The university congratulated students and teachers for their excellent competition achievements.

“MUST U” team members with the first prize

U” for the tourism industry in Macao, and won the first prize. It introduced two functions (VR map and VR social network) for users that enable to design personalized VR tourism solutions, and browse VR social networks, which develops new tourism experiences.

“Bouton Creativity Park” team members with the second prize

“Bouton Creativity Park” provides a platform for creatives. It can not only promote the works from professional designers, but protect their intellectual property as well. All the participants through this platform are designers, which will ultimately lead to the inclusiveness. During this competition, the jury committee highly appreciated this project, and suggested its further application, and better service for local residents and visitors.
