FHTM held “Research Frontier of Consumer Behavior in Tourism and Hospitality Field” Seminar by Professor Kim Jungkeun

The third lecture of the “Academic Seminars Series” hosted by Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) was held on April 13, 2021. Professor Kim Jungkeun from the Auckland University of Technology was invited to give a talk entitled “Research Frontier of Consumer Behavior in Tourism and Hospitality Field” via Zoom meeting. About 100 FHTM teachers and postgraduate students, including Program Director Prof. Zhang Yang attended. This seminar was sponsored by the Macao Foundation. 

Professor Kim Jungkeun

Professor Kim Jungkeun received his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Minnesota, USA. He is an Associate Professor of the Marketing Department at the Auckland University of Technology, whose research is focused on consumer decision-making and judgment. 

In this lecture, Professor Kim Jungkeun discussed the impact of COVID-19 on human and travelers’ decision-making and judgment, specifically analyzing the impact of COVID-19 threat on various behaviors. Professor Kim Jungkeun challenged students to think more critically and, after an active interaction, this lecture provided students with new research directions and thinking.
