The first English dubbing contest was held successfully in April. The preliminary contest was conducted in the form of video submission. Altogether 42 entries were submitted. After the first round of fierce competition, 20 contestants were shortlisted by their impressive dubbing performance. The final round of the contest was held in B603 on April 2nd. Due to the pandemic, the final contest was not open to a live audience.
In the final round, each contestant conducted two rounds of dubbing through the real-time selection of English video clips. The online and offline judges gave scores on their pronunciation, intonation, vocal emotion/expression, fluency, and synchronization based on their on-the-spot performance, and contestants with excellent performance were selected accordingly. Everyone exhibited abundant emotions, skillful techniques with high-level of English proficiency, which made this contest meaningful and unforgettable. The winners are listed below:

As the saying goes, “reap as one has sown”. Each challenge that the student embraces, each contest that English Corner organizes is a previous experience in the journey of growth.
