2022 FHTM Graduation Ceremony Successfully Held

The Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was held in the afternoon of June 7, 2022, at the Auditorium of the Teaching Building in Block R. This year, under the witness of more than 200 industry guests, teachers, relatives and friends, two hundred FHTM graduates attended the graduation ceremony, while graduates and their families and friends who were unable to attend the ceremony in person participated in the event online.

Mr. Kwong Ying Wa, Vice President of M.U.S.T. and Professor Ben. K Goh, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management attended the ceremony and presented the graduation certificates to Graduates of Master of International Tourism Management, Master of Hotel Management, Bachelor of International Tourism Management, Bachelor of Hotel Management, and Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management. The officiating guests at the ceremony also included Professor Aliana Leong, Dean of School of Liberal Arts, members of the faculty’s Advisory Board namely Mr. Paul Wong, Chairman of Travel Industry Council of Macau, Ms. Celia Lao, CEO of HKG and Macau of AirAsia, Ms. Wendy Yu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, Mr. John Sloane, Assistant Senior Vice President - F&B Operations and Culinary of Galaxy Macau, Mr. Jens Busch, Vice President - Europe & Asia Pacific of HVS Executive Search, Ms. Sophia Mok, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Lisboeta Macau, Ms. Stephanie So, Executive Director - Human Resources of Wynn Macau, Mr. Alfred Ng, Director - Macau Services Division of Shun Tak – Turbojet, Mr. Lourence Ho, Director of Human Resources of Sands China, Ms. Betty Fung, Owner of Triple Taste Limited, Mr. Vincent Ieong, Chairman of Macau Food & Beverage Industry Development Association, FHTM Alumni Mr. Patrick Wong, Chairman of Regal Fine Wines Ltd. as well as teachers, staff, parents and friends of graduates.

Dean Ben. K. Goh welcomed the guests in the speech and congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments. Prof. Ben. K. Goh shared that FHTM has made great strides and actively promotes internationalization, diversity, and academic excellence. M.U.S.T. is now a university accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in the United Kingdom. Also in FHTM, TedQual certified all programs with high scores. In the language of business, FHTM is adding value to students’ degrees. Prof. Ben. K. Goh encouraged students to remain cheerful with high spirits, and continue to carry forward FHTM’s spirit. He welcomed the graduates to join the Alumni Association.

As representatives of outstanding graduates, Cheng Haixin, a graduate of Master of International Tourism Management, and Wu Jingyi, a graduate of Bachelor of International Tourism Management, delivered speeches on behalf of all the graduates. They expressed their gratitude to the alma mater for providing a supportive learning environment. They also noted that the significance of these years lies not only in the study of knowledge and scientific exploration but also in the cultivation and the continuous improvement of personality. They will forge ahead to create a better and brighter tomorrow of their own with the fond memory of M.U.S.T. and keep learning to enrich themselves.
