2022/2023 MSD Graduation Ceremony

The 2022/2023 Graduation Ceremony of the Medical Science Division (MSD), hosted by the Faculty of Chinese Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine, and the School of Pharmacy, and organized by the Faculty of Medicine has been successfully held at the N101 Hall, Macau University of Science and Technology. Officiating guests attending the ceremony include Vice-President of M.U.S.T. Chair Professor Paul Tam; Associate Vice-President of M.U.S.T. and the Director of the School of Pharmacy Chair Professor Zhu Yizhun; Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine Professor Zeng Li; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Manson Fok; and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Nivritti Patil. Distinguished guests attending the ceremony include the Director of the Health Bureau of the Macau SAR Government Dr. Lo Iek Long; the Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine of Macao Professor Mo Hui; the Head of the Division of Tertiary Educational Cooperation and Exchange of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government Mr. Fung Ka Kin; and the Head of Division of Risk Assessment of the Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government Ms. Loh Wan Yin. Nine representatives from local high schools, medical associations, and organizations, and 4 representatives from teaching and research collaboration organizations from the Greater Bay area, together with more than 200 faculty staff members, graduates, and their families and friends also attended the ceremony. 

2022/2023 MSD Graduation Ceremony

The ceremony began with the national anthem. Vice-President of M.U.S.T. Chair Professor Paul Tam, Associate Vice-President of M.U.S.T. and the Director of the School of Pharmacy Chair Professor Zhu Yizhun, Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine Professor Zeng Li, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Manson Fok gave speeches in order. They congratulated the graduates and their families and friends and showed gratitude to the government and society for the support they have given to the Faculty of Chinese Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine, and the School of Pharmacy. Vice-President Tam encouraged graduates to use the friendship they had built, the lessons they had learned, and the challenges they had overcome, as their driving force to move forward. He also hoped the students could contribute to the nation, the Greater Bay Area, and the development of great healthcare. Associate Vice-President Zhu looked forward to seeing the graduates face different challenges in their life in a brave way, and to attain great achievements in different professional fields. Dean Zeng congratulated the graduates on finishing their studies, becoming well-prepared to be a part of society, and being ready to make their dreams come true. Dean Fok hoped the graduates would equip themselves with professional knowledge, take care of patients, participate in public health and community healthcare services, and contribute to the development of medicine and people’s health and well-being.

At the end of the ceremony, graduate representatives Chen Zhurong from the Faculty of Medicine, Ho Tin Ian from the School of Pharmacy, and Yu Yi from the Faculty of Chinese Medicine, gave a speech. The representatives reminisced about everything they had experienced at M.U.S.T., showed gratitude to the teachers for their efforts, and motivated their peers. They recognized the benefits they got from the rich resources provided by their alma mater and viewed graduation as the beginning of another life journey. They also encouraged peer graduates to spread their wings and soar beyond the stars and wished their alma mater all the best for the future.
