Presenter: Mr. Marc Delval
On September 26, 2013, a special event “Let’s Cycling Around the World” was presented by MUST. Mr. Marc Delval, famous France Cyclist, was invited to share his around the world cycling experience with the MUST students. The event was organized by The Alliance Française of Macao and the Students’ Union of MUST, co-organized by the Volunteer Team under Students’ Union of MUST and sponsored by the Macau Foundation and The Seasons. As well as supported by the MUST Foundation. The lecture was attended by over hundreds of MUST students and received overwhelming response.
Mr. Marc Delval is a 64 years old cycling enthusiast. During the last four years, he managed to ride on a bicycle weight more than 65 kilogram, travel to numerous European countries, covered over 41000 kilometers. In 2012, he successfully finished his Olympics Cycling tour from Peking to Paris and London. This trip to Macau will be the starting point of his final tour.
During the lecture, Mr. Marc Delval displayed the bicycle he used during his tour, and talked about his dream of traveling around the world on his bicycle since he was twelve years old. Some students asked Mr. Marc to use a word to describe his experience. His response was “Fantastic”. After finishing the Macau trip, Mr. Marc Delval will then be traveling to Mainland China, continue his bicycle journey.
