First Lecture of FHTM’s “Seminars by F & B Leaders”

The first lecture of the “Seminars by F & B Leaders” hosted by FHTM was held on March 23, 2018. Mr. Bruno Santos, the President of the Union of Bartenders and Cocktails of Macau, who is also the founder of the union, was invited to give a talk entitled Bartender and the History of Union of Bartenders and Cocktails of Macau for our food and beverage management students.

Mr. Bruno Santos first introduced the job of “Bartenders” and the possible incidents which could happen during work and the way of approaching the issue. He then explained the history and development of the Union of Bartenders and Cocktails of Macau and their experiences of participation in international competitions over the years. At the end, he demonstrated one of the cocktails named “Mango Laxuo” which in his opinion could best represent Macau. By demonstrating this cocktail, the Union had won the championship in the cocktail competition hosted by IBA (International Bar Association) in 2017.
