47 master students from FHTM Hotel Management Program, led by Program Director Associate Professor Zhang Yang and Assistant Professor Zhang Su, visited the Wynn Palace for experiential learning from November 5, 2020 to November 6, 2020. All participants received a warm reception of Ms. Prunella Wong, Assistant Director of Learning & Advancement of Wynn Palace.

During the tour, students visited the suites, staff canteen, Wynn Steakhouse, Through the experience of the sustainability of Wynn Palace in terms of water, electricity, kitchen waste, linen and consumables, students knew more about NORDAQ water filter systems and AI food waste system and had in-depth discussions and exchanges with the technical staff.

In addition, Ms. Wong also shared the concept of sustainable development in hotel human resource management with the students. The students realized that the concept of sustainable development was not only applicable to material resources, but also to human resources.

The students benefited a lot from this activity. By participating in this study tour, students can further understand the most advanced sustainable development concepts and technology applications in the hotel industry, which provided more learning space for hotel management research.
