The 49th session Shizi Gate Law Forum was held on 25 October 2019. This forum was hosted by Macau University of Science and Technology and was sponsored by Macao Foundation and Macau University of Science and Technology Foundation. Topic of the forum was “Development of International Technology Innovation Center and Intellectual Property Legal Protection”.

Associated Professor Yi Zaicheng from Faculty of Law was the host of this forum. Staffs from Faculty of Law, Professor Fang Quan (Executive Vice Dean), Assistant Professor Dai Mengliang and Xiao Huinuo, together with around a hundred students participated in this forum. Besides, we were so proud that we had invited Professor Xie Huijia (Director of School of Law, School of Intellectual Property in South China University of Technology and Deputy Director of National Intellectual Property (Guangdong) Training Base), Professor Cao Xinming (Director) and Professor He Hua from The Ministry of Education Key Research Institutes in Humanities and Social Sciences, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law; Qi Shouming, Legal Director, from Guangzhou Huanju Shidai Co., Ltd. to be our honored guests in this forum.

During the forum, Professor Xie Huijia, Associated Professor He Hua and Legal Director Qi Shouming discussed the topics of “Intellectual Property Infringement Determination of Electronic Commerce Platform”, “Risk Governance Research on Drug Patent Term Extension (DPTE) System” and “Intellectual Property Issues of Online Games for Live Broadcasting” respectively. Lastly, Professor Cao Xinming shared his teaching experience and some comments on the above mentioned topics as well.
