The 2023 graduation ceremony of the School of Business of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was successfully held in the afternoon of June 5 at the Auditorium of the University's Building R. The graduation ceremony was officiated by Vice President Kwong YingWa, Professor Sheng Ni, Dean of the School of Business and Professor Lin ZhiJun, Director of Academic Accreditation Office of MUST. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Chan Tung Sun, Vice Dean of the School of Business; Assistant Dean Professor Tang HuaJun, Associate Prof. Zhang Jing Hua and Associate Prof. Zhang Zhuo; Prof. Chang, Po Chien, Head of the Department of Management, Associate Prof. Li Xin, Head of the Department of Decision Sciences, Associate Prof. Lin YongJia, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance as well as faculties, parents and friends. The total number of undergraduate and graduate students in this year's business school is 1773 (including 828 undergraduates and 945 graduate students), 753 graduates attended the graduation ceremony on site and took pictures with the officiating guests, turning a new page in their lives under the witness and blessing of their teachers and friends.
Speech by Dean Sheng Ni
Prof. Sheng Ni, Dean of the School of Business, affirmed the achievements and performance of the graduates. The students have got many honors for the school, including successes in various competitions such as the "World Management Challenge", won the championship, second and third prize in Macau for many times. Affected by the epidemic, this year’s graduates have experienced the most memorable university life, and at the same time witnessed the growth of MUST. Our school has successfully entered the top 250 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2023, and the subject of “Business and Economics” is Ranked between 176-200. Dean Sheng hope that all the graduates could face the setbacks and failures in the future with strength, welcome a new page in life, and enter a new stage of life.

Professor Lin ZhiJun, Director of the Academic Certification Office of Macau University of Science and Technology, awarded first-class honor cord and second-class honor cord to graduates with a cumulative average GPA of 3.9 or above and a cumulative average GPA of 3.8 to 3.89, respectively.
Speech by Teacher’s Representative Associate Professor Sun HongYan
Assistant Professor Sun HongYan, the representative of the School of Business, sent blessings to the graduates and encouraged them to keep going, faced new challenges towards their own goals and explored this unknown world. Prof. Sun quoted a sentence from Bi Shumin's "The Power of the Right Hand" to encourage all graduates: "I don't believe in fate, I only believe in my hand. I don't believe in the lines of the palm either, but I believe in the power of the palm plus fingers. " I wish the graduates will hold their right hands tightly on the road in the future.
Speech by Graduate Representative Ms. Fang JingYue
Fang Jingyue, the graduate representative of the School of Business, expressed her deepest and sincerest gratitude to all the professors and faculty members for their guidance, recognition and inspiration, which enlightened her whenever she got lost in the mists of time. Fang shared her own experience and encouraged the students to clearly remember the goals, have passion and motivation in mind at all times. Ordinary steps can also make a great trip. Finally, she wished all the graduates a rosy future and explored the world fearlessly.
At the end of the ceremony, the Macau University of Science and Technology Art Troupe presented blessing songs to the graduates. The graduates, parents and guests sang the graduation song together, drawing a perfect end to the graduation ceremony.
