School of Business (MSB) Advisory Board meeting for the 2023/2024 academic year was successfully held on January 12, 2024 (Friday) in the afternoon at the A501 conference room of M.U.S.T. After the preparations over the past few months, the membership of MSB Advisory Board was renewed and confirmed, and Mr. Kevin Ho King Lun, Deputy (Macao SAR), the 13th & 14th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, President, The Industry and Commerce Association of Macau and Director, Tai Fung Bank Limited, was recommended as Chairman. Prof. Sheng Ni, Dean of MSB, expressed her sincere gratitude to all the previous members for their long-term support and welcomed and thanked the new members for joining.
Besides Chairman Mr. Kevin Ho King Lun, members in attendance included (listed in order of the number of strokes of Chinese surname): Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Executive Director, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM);Mr. Sam Tou, Executive Director, Banco Nacional Ultramarino(BNU); Mr. Carlos Lam, CEO, Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Center; Mr. Zhang Jie, Senior Vice President, China State Construction International Holdings Limited and Chairman, China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited; Mr. Chen Wu, Director, China Telecom (Macau) Company Limited; Mr. Chan Weng Tat, Deputy Chief Executive, Bank of China (Macau) Limited; Dr. Toa Charm, Chairman, OpenCertHub Limited and Associate Professor, CUHK Business School; Mr. Chang Chak-Io, Jack, Vice chairman, Executive Board, Macau Economic Association; Dr. Maurice WF Ngai, the Past President, The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries. The meeting was chaired by Dean Sheng, the management team of the school and the board members were introduced at the meeting. Then, Vice-President of M.U.S.T Prof. Pang Chuan presented appointment letters to all members.

During the meeting, Dean Sheng reported on the MSB's work over the past year, including research and teaching activities, student achievements, graduate employment, and higher education prospects, mentioned that MSB was accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in July last year. Dean Sheng particularly appreciated the former Chairman Mr. Paulo Tse's support during the accreditation. She also introduced the main plans for teaching, research, and faculty development in the next year. Assistant Dean of MSB Prof. Tang Hua Jun explained the joint student training programs with other higher education institutions in recent years. Associate Prof. Li Xin, Head of the Department of Decision Sciences, summarized the internship situations of the MSB students, and Associate Prof. Lin Yong Jia, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, reported on the school's work in financial technology innovation over the past year. Chairman of the MSB Advisory Board Mr. Kevin Ho King Lun and the attending board members actively spoke up, providing valuable suggestions regarding the work and development plans of the school.
Finally, Dean Sheng thanked the board members for their long-term support and valuable advice to the school.
