The BFNS internship sharing session has been held successfully by the Nutrition Society

In order to promote communication among students at all grades of the major and deepen students' understanding of future career planning, Nutrition Society of Student’s Union of Macao University of Science and Technology held the ‘2022 BFNS Internship Sharing Session’ at building N, room 319 on September 29. Professor Xiao Ying, Associate Professor Wang Ling, and Assistant Professor Zhong Tian from the Faculty of Medicine of Macau University of Science and Technology attended the sharing session as guests.

The purpose of this activity is to encourage students to practice their skills, develop in an all-round way, check and fill their gaps, clarify the goals, and actively participate in the construction of the great health industry in the Greater Bay Area and the country. The session was held in the form of online and offline synchronous live broadcast. Over 80 students of Food and Nutrition Science have attended the sharing session. In addition, a total of 50 students have participated via Zoom meeting. The theme of the session revolved around the sharing of internship experience in three major directions: hospitals, governmental agencies, industries, and academic institutes.

A total of 35 students shared their internship experiences in hospitals, enterprises, government and scientific research institutions respectively. Students fully shared the knowledge and problems they had learned during the internship. Combined with their own learning experience and perception of internship work, they explained in depth from multiple angles. Along with current hot topics such as "big health industry" and "development of traditional Chinese medicine", they had discussions and exchanges opinions with students attending the event. The sharing session provided ideas and guidance for students’ future development and career planning.
