The Successful Outcome of the “2022 Kiang Hoi Model United Nations Conference”

With the support of the Student Affairs Office, the Model United Nations Association of Macau University of Science and Technology successfully held the 2022 Kiang Hoi Model United Nations Conference from October 8 to 9, 2022. The conference was attended by 12 members of the presidium, 82 delegates and 6 volunteers, a total of 100 people. In addition to the members of M.U.S.T., delegates from the University of Macau, City University of Macau, Pui Ching Middle School, Kao Yip Middle School, Keang Peng School, Lingnan Middle School also participated in this event.

This conference was set up three committees: Chinese Committee (World Food Crisis), Chinese History Committee (Darkest Hour), and Main Press Center. Among the members of Chinese Committee, 46 delegates had a heated discussion on the issue of food crisis, and made suggestions for the solution of the world food crisis. In the Chinese History Committee, 23 delegates decided the future and destiny of Britain in the context of World War II. At the same time, 13 journalist delegates from the Main Press Center actively wrote news reports and assisted in the progress of the meeting. The meeting proceeded smoothly under the auspices of the members of the presidium. At the end of the meeting, the members of the presidium made comments and summaries for the meeting, and sent sincere encouragement and blessings to the delegates.

In this meeting, the delegates showed a wealth of knowledge and good expression skills. Through this activity, members of the Model United Nations Association of Macau University of Science and Technology can communicate with outstanding delegates of other universities, and gain a further understanding of knowledge about international relations and history. In the future, the Model United Nations Association will also continue to hold related activities, and at the same time, strengthen the communication with other schools, and strive to bring a better participation experience for all delegates.
