held by Faculty of Law in M.U.S.T.
The academic seminar – “International Financial Risk Prevention and Financial Supervision in the New Era” was held in Macau University of Science and Technology on 16 December 2019. This seminar was organized by China Law Society Commercial Law Research Association, undertaken by Faculty of Law in Macau University of Science and Technology and were jointly organized by Business Law Research Center in Nanjing University, Business Center in Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangdong Yinggen Law Firm and Guangdong Lianjian Law Firm. There were more than a hundred people participated in the captioned seminar.
Mr. Lin Zhijun, Vice president of M.U.S.T., mentioned that against the background of the major changes in the international economic environment caused by the Sino-US trade conflict, how could we promote the modernization of China's financial rule of law and the prevention of International and Mainland China financial risk. Especially in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area where China's economic growth was the strongest. As we actively lead the convergence of financial rule of law in different legal systems and eliminate financial risks caused by conflicting rules which have the important theoretical and practical significance. He also shared the development achievements of M.U.S.T. and the features of teaching scientific research to the guests during the seminar.

Mr. Zhao Xudong, President of China Law Society Commercial Law Research Association, pointed out that based on the circumstance changes in international economic, financial situation and digital economy, the new financial products and conducts, such as digital currency and internet finance were emerged. These brought the new requirement of financial risk and financial supervision. Mr. Zhao hoped that the experts and scholars who presented in the seminar could share their ideas, so as to achieve the fruitful research results.

Around fifty experts were discussed the topic of “International Financial Risk Prevention and Financial Supervision in the New Era” and “The International Convergence of Financial Innovation, Financial Risk and Financial Supervision” during the seminar. These experts came from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Jilin University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, East China University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore, Wonkwang University Korea, other Korea Universities and organizations.
