On the afternoon of May 3rd, on the occasion of China's "National Security Education Day," a group of over 30 students, faculty, and representatives from the Alumni Association of the M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law visited the "National Security Education Exhibition" jointly organized by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau.
The exhibition focused on the theme of national security education and showcased national security knowledge and the legal system for safeguarding national security in the Macau Special Administrative Region through various means such as picture displays, voice introductions, multimedia presentations, and physical models. The students, faculty, and alumni of the Faculty of Law expressed that the exhibition made them feel the strength and indomitable spirit of the motherland, deepened their understanding of national security concepts, and increased their awareness of the importance of safeguarding national security.
Since its establishment in 2000, the Faculty of Law of the M.U.S.T. has adhered to the principle of "one country, two systems" and provided dual-track legal education for Macau and mainland China. It actively supports the teaching of the Constitution and the Basic Law at the university and is committed to cultivating outstanding legal professionals who love the country and Macau. The visit to the National Security Education Exhibition further deepens the patriotic sentiment of the students, faculty, and alumni, enhances the consensus on safeguarding national security, and helps establish a comprehensive national security concept among contemporary youth.
The Faculty of Law of the M.U.S.T. supports the continuous improvement of the national security legal system in Macau by the SAR government, and will continue to promote patriotic education, meet the needs of national development and the demand for cross-border legal professionals in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and contribute to the long-term stability and prosperity of the country and Macau society.
