The student from the Faculty of Law has been awarded the third prize in the national competition "Learning the Constitution, Speaking about the Constitution" at the eighth edition of the event

The eighth edition of the national competition "Learning the Constitution, Speaking about the Constitution" was successfully held from October 26th to October 29th, 2023. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and hosted by the National Youth Rule of Law Education Center at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Participants and team leaders from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions, attended the event. Tian Yue, a student from the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology, participated in the speech competition as a member of the Macau delegation, with Assistant Professor Zhou Ting serving as her mentor. During the speech competition, Tian Yue combined vivid and lively cases to narrate constitutional and rule of law stories, promoting the spirit of the constitution. In the end, Tian Yue received the third prize in the individual category of the university group, while Assistant Professor Zhou Ting was awarded the third prize for outstanding mentor.

The Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology has consistently placed great importance on and cooperated with the Macau SAR government's efforts in promoting the Constitution and the Basic Law, as well as emphasizing legal education. In addition to emphasizing the Basic Law and relevant Macau laws in their daily teaching curriculum, they actively participate in various diverse activities to allow students to understand the spirit of the law through experiential learning. This helps them to accurately understand and recognize the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, as well as the importance of implementing relevant institutions in maintaining social stability and development in Macau. These efforts aim to strengthen students' sense of loyalty and dedication to their home country.
