Orienteering event “City Shuttle -- The Legend of Mazu” was successfully held

The "City Shuttle, the Legend of Mazu" activity hosted by the Outdoor Sports Association of the Students’ Union of MUST held in October 23, 2022. This activity was attended by 8 teams in group of 8 members. They embarked on an intense urban pursuit journey, which was more an understanding and exploration of Macau culture.

This activity was presented in the form of a competition. Team members got clues about different tasks by solving puzzles, so they can visit the landmark buildings and places in Macau, having a deeper understanding of the local human geography and natural geography of Macau, participants become more interested in Macau culture in this exploration tour of the city. They were also encouraged to have a healthier life and enhance their interest in outdoor sports and activities.

After some Ice Breaker games, the organizer explained the rules of the game. The first arrival team gets the priority to start. Each team will have 6 different punch points (ex. The Historic Centre of Macao, Museu Lin Zexu de Macau, Cinema Alegria & Colina da Penha). The teams need to take a group photo of the landmark, and get a puzzle card for the next task. It’s fun and practical which participants completed the game by solving puzzles and doing outdoor sports together.

After 7 hours of team effort and cooperation, 8 teams all finished the games. The team leaders of the event actively played a leading role in cheering all team members, and kept in good contact with each group, which ensured that the progress of this activity was orderly and smooth. Well cooperation of various departments makes the event successfully completed.

The City Orienteering event was one of the brand activities held by the Outdoor Sports Association of the Students’ Union of MUST. They expect that participants can go outside and recognize the beauty of the city, the organizers also have a chance to improve the ability to coordinate activities, and have a great chance to keep in touch with different members to lay a foundation for activities.
