The Blood Transfusion Centre of the Macao SAR Government Health Bureau held the "Annual Blood Donors Award Ceremony 2023" on the evening of November 30. Ms. Wong, Ka Weng, Head of Student Affairs Office, and Ms. Tam Kit Leng, Duty Manager of Student Affairs Office, representative of the university, attended the event. Macau University of Science and Technology was awarded the runner-up for the highest number of blood donors among higher education institutions in 2022.
Director Lam Man Tat of the Education and Youth Development Bureau presented the "2022 Highest Number of Blood Donors Award - Runner-up among Higher Education Institutions" to Ms. Wong, Ka Weng, Head of the Student Affairs Office.
During the "Annual Blood Donors Award Ceremony 2023" were presented to government departments, schools, organizations, and institutions that collaborated and made significant contributions to blood donation activities in 2022. These awards aimed to recognize and express gratitude for their active support in blood donation activities. The Macau University of Science and Technology has been dedicated to promoting student engagement in social welfare activities. For over fifteen years, M.U.S.T. has maintained a continuous partnership with the Blood Transfusion Center to organize campus blood donation events. In the future, there will be ongoing efforts to encourage students and faculty to support blood donation activities, ensuring an ample and stable blood supply in Macau. Through practical actions, care, and compassion for society, and a shared commitment to building a healthy Macao and enhancing the well-being of its citizens, contributions will continue to be made.
