VII. Study Requirements
- Students are required to complete six core courses from Table 1 and three elective courses from Table 2, a total of 27 credits. (Two elective courses from one specialization, one elective course from other specialization).
- Complete a master degree thesis with no less than 20,000 words and no more than 25,000 words, and pass the oral defence, a total of 12 credits.
VIII. Study Period
- The duration for taking all courses is 12 months and the duration for thesis writing is 9 months.
- In general, classes will be scheduled Monday to Friday, day or night time.
IX. Graduation Requirements
Upon approval from the Senate of the University, a Master’s Degree will be conferred on a student when he or she has:
- Completed and met the requirements as prescribed in the study plan of his or her program within the specific study period, and achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.50 *or above (excluding dissertation)
- Abided by the regulations of the University
- Cleared all fees and charges, and returned all University’s property and equipment borrowed
* Students admitted in or before academic year 2018/2019, please refer to the rules and regulations as stipulated in the intake academic year study plan.
If students pass all courses required in Table 1 and 2 above with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, but fail to pass the final thesis oral defense during the specified period, he/she will receive a certificate of completion.
