Executives from the Beijing based Research & Development Pharmaceutical Association Committee (RDPAC) are also participating with discussions in regards to the strong support from Gates Foundation and the upcoming prestigious Galien Awards to be held in Beijing in the Spring of 2018.

Prof. Fok said, “We are tremendously grateful to meet up with the doctors, scientists, healthcare policymakers, and bio-tech and pharmaceutical officials in Beijing. These high level meetings are key for tackling future medical problems that will face China and the world in the coming years. We are gaining ground in providing Macau and China with ever more advanced medical education training to help our citizens live more healthier and prosperous lives. These meetings will greatly contribute to these endeavors.”

Commented Director for the Center of Medical Professional Development at the Faculty of Health Sciences at MUST, Dr. Billy Chan, “We are proud to be cementing relationships in science research, biotech collaborations, health education and training, as well as healthcare and trauma medicine at these upcoming meetings. Apart from our Macao SAR healthcare training and important education, it has been six-and-a-half years since the National Healthcare and Family Planning Commission began strengthening existing programs. They have done this to ensure that Macau’s healthcare infrastructure can meet the current needs and the challenges the SAR is facing.”

Dr. Chan continued, “These collaborations with top notch Chinese institutions and the support of the Central Government and National Healthcare and Family Planning Commission are bringing medical skills training to new heights, giving our doctors vital techniques and energy to be more effective. We are honored and humbled to be providing the Central Government leadership with insights and ideas, and communicating expectations. This is of crucial importance in the ongoing strategic direction in medical skills training and medical education in the Macao SAR.”
