The 2023 Teachers and Students' Carnival of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management was held successfully on March 3rd at Block R109. The teachers and the students had a great time at this activity.
The activity started officially at 14:30 when the emcees introduced the professors in the first section, The Lecture Program Director Feng Yan was invited to give a speech at the opening ceremony. She expressed her expectation for the event, hoping that the games would enhance the relationship between teachers and students, deepen their impression of each other, strengthen their interaction and cooperation skills, enjoy the happiness of life in the games, and release themselves from the pressure.
Before the game started, the emcee introduced the main game rules and process of the carnival. The whole process of the activity was made up of 4 games, including Chinese Table Tennis, Bounce, Point the Way, and Hot Wheel. The first participant began to try the ping pong ball. After few attempts, the ping pong ball dutifully popped into the cup and received a cheer and applause. The second game was bouncing chess, a game where two people "play against each other". The third game was point a way, where a team of participants had to divide into two groups and perform a blindfolded chair relay. This game tested the tacit understanding between the team members. After a round of games, both the blindfolded students and the teacher as a guide deepened their trust in each other. The last game, where the team members needed to pass the hula hoop through their bodies in relay without using their hands. Four team members, hand in hand, when the referee gave a command, the hula hoop has been set off. Some of the team members bent over, some leaned back, they encouraged each other, to stay calm to play the game.
The joyful time is always so short, the Teachers and Students' Carnival came to an end and all the participating teams were awarded with prizes. After the award ceremony, all the participating teachers and students and the staff stood together for group photos. Chen Jiabao, a staff member of the Student Association of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, said in an interview, "In this activity, playing games with the professors not only relaxed the tension of learning, but also cultivated the tacit understanding with the professors. I cherish this precious opportunity!"
The Teachers and Students' Carnival was a great opportunity to bring students and teachers closer together and to promote cooperation and unity among them. In the rest of study and life, we hope that the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s family will Overcome difficulties and progress together!
