The University International College (UIC) of the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), together with the National University Timor Lorosae (UNTL) and the Grupo Macau Rai Timor (GMRT), hosted a workshop about teaching Portuguese in a bilingual environment on Oct 22nd.
This workshop aims at sharing of knowledge between teachers, researchers, and students of both institutions of higher education within the teaching of Portuguese as a second language at the secondary and higher education levels.
Due to the present pandemic, the event was held online, having the presence of Professor Karin Ruehle Indart, Professor of UNTL’s post-graduate program and member of the committee of the Master studies ‘Teaching of Portuguese in the context of East Timor’. In this way, teachers and students of both institutions had the opportunity to participate in the event.
The original impulse for this workshop came from the Grupo Macau – Rai Timor, association founded in 1996 by father Francisco Fernandes. The association has been active in the Macao SAR through the promotion of historical and cultural research of East Timor.
Workshop sobre ensino de Português em ambiente bilingue decorreu online
A Universidade de Ciência e Tecnologia de Macau (MUST), em conjunto com a Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosae (UNTL) e o Grupo Macau – Rai Timor (GMRT), levou a cabo um workshop sobre o ensino de Português em ambiente bilingue. Este certâmen decorreu no dia 22 do corrente mês e visou a partilha de conhecimentos entre professores, investigadores e estudantes das duas instituições de ensino superior com vista ao ensino de Português como língua segunda para os níveis secundário e superior.
Devido à presente pandemia, o evento se realizou quase exclusivamente em formato digital, contando com a apresentação da Professora Karin Ruehle Indart, professora do programa de pós-graduação da UNTL e parte integrante da comissão do mestrado ‘Ensino de Português no contexto de Timor-Leste’. Desta forma, docentes e discentes de ambas as instituições, assim como o público interessado, tiveram a oportunidade de participar no certâmen.
O impulso original de este workshop partiu do Grupo Macau – Rai Timor, associação fundada em 1996 pelo padre Francisco Fernandes e que tem pautado suas atividades no território através do fomento da investigação histórica e cultural de Timor Leste.
