From December 10 to 12, 2021, the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was invited to participate in the "2021 Science and Technology Week and Innovation Achievement Exhibition" (Science and Technology Week), organized by the Science and Technology Development Fund and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. The Technology Week includes a roadshow and matchmaking session on cooperation between industries, universities and research institutes in Mainland China and Macau, the 2021 Macau Innovation Forum, and the 2020 Science and Technology Project Completion Exhibition and Academic Presentation, among other activities. Vice Chancellor and President of MUST, Mr. Lee Hang Wai, Vice President of MUST, Mr. Jiang Zhihong and Vice President of AUST, Mr. Pang Chuan were invited to attend the academic forums.
MUST has always focused on both teaching and research, and encouraged the transformation of scientific research. President Li Xingwei was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Roadshow Matching Conference on Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation between the Mainland and Macao, and visited the research exhibition area, expressing his recognition of the research achievement projects.
The achievements of the Science and Technology Week include: "Jianshenbao" by the research team of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, "Yimoucao alkali", "New oral drug for the treatment of multiple sclerosis" and "Effective active site of Chinese medicine with neuroprotective effect" by the research team of the Faculty of Pharmacy, "KR2 mixed suspension eye drops" by the research team of the Faculty of Medicine, "Technical consultation and quality inspection service for quality Chinese medicine" by the research team of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine, "OLED series of products" by the research team of the Macao Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, "Interventional radiotherapy surgery navigation system based on point cloud platform" by the Faculty of Information Technology and Hengle Medical Technology. During the short exhibition period of three days, the booth of MUST was well received, and the research and academic achievements of the university were introduced to the Macao public through an interactive way.
At the 2021 Macau Innovation Forum, Vice President Pang Chuan of MUST was invited to discuss with the guests "how enterprises can complement the strategic development of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone", and his brilliant speech aroused enthusiastic discussions.
