Introduction to the plan:

On November 16, 2018, the Professional and Technical Personnel Management Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Macau Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology signed the first phase agreement (2019-2021) of the joint training postdoctoral researcher program in Zhuhai. In the past three years since the project was implemented, we have received positive responses from mainland universities and scientific research institutes, and Macao training institutes, and the work has progressed smoothly and achieved the expected results. In view of this, the two parties signed a new phase of the agreement on December 19, 2021 to continue the implementation of the first phase Phase II project (2022-2024).

According to the agreement, the “Program” will select no more than 30 young doctors from the Mainland to carry out post-doctoral research work in Macao every year in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine, microelectronics, lunar and planetary science, and smart city Internet of Things. To improve the academic level, strive to cultivate first-class scientific and technological talents, promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Macao and the Mainland, and jointly promote the development of science and technology and social economy of the country. In the second phase of the project, we also increased funding. In accordance with the principle of reciprocity, the subsidy for each selected person is 180,000 RMB/person per year from the Mainland, and 210,000 MOP/person from Macao per year, and the subsidy period is two years. The nature of the funding in the Mainland is the central financial appropriation, and the funding in Macau is generally paid by the cooperating supervisors from their project research funds. The funds will be used to pay for the living expenses, housing subsidies, medical insurance in Macau and round-trip travel expenses of the selected personnel.
