Congratulations, graduates! Today marks a celebration of your several years of study at MUST. As you excitedly and, perhaps, somewhat nervously prepare for the next phase of your life, fondly remember your time here as being one of growth, exploration and self-discovery; a place where you learned the importance of diligence, dedication and self-discipline; and one where you realised that all dreams are attainable.

The happiness that engulfs you on this celebratory occasion is also proudly shared by your parents, family, friends and teachers. We all sincerely wish you many successes as you open the pages to the new chapter of your life. Be immensely proud of your accomplishments, and as you seize new opportunities and adventures, remember that you each have a commitment to make the world a better place. Now, dive into your futures with unparalleled enthusiasm, unwavering optimism, limitless courage and determined focus. Congratulations again to the Class of 2017!

同學們畢業了，這是一種榮譽，也是對大家學有所成的最好肯定，作為老師，我由衷地感到喜悅，並對諸位致以美好的祝願！

學習是為了甚麼，理由各種各樣，然而首要的就是為了明理。《禮記》云：“玉不琢，不成器；人不學，不知道。”相信大家耳熟能詳。在上下五千年的中華文化中，中國人從來沒有停止過探索世界的腳步，並尋求與環境最和諧相融的立身處世之道。歷代先賢總是把偉大的人格寓於不懈的學習、踐行之中。校訓“意誠、格物”就體現了知識和品格相聯繫的文化精神，也是對同學們的厚望。

校園處在澳門這座中西交匯的國際城市，仿佛海邊的一顆明珠。我們是否耳濡目染，讓自己的眼界更加開闊，胸懷更加寬廣？如果是，我們心中裝下的就不僅是自己，還有民族、國家和世界。“先天下之憂而憂，後天下之樂而樂！”並非空言，范仲淹被後人永遠銘記：“公之忠義滿朝廷，事業滿邊隅，功名滿天下，後必有史官書之者。”大凡前代先賢，均有至誠感恩之心。從“誰言寸草心，報得三春暉。”的念親恩，到“雖信美而非吾土兮，曾何足以少留。”的家國之思，直至“人生自古誰無死，留取丹心照汗青。”的豪情，沒有感恩之心，如何能成大事業、大境界？所以，同學們，無論你在哪裏，不要忘記自己的母親、故土，給你知識和本領的母校。

“亦余心之所善兮，雖九死其猶未悔。”這就是我們追求理想的精神，即使我們暫時還未達到，也要把“雖不能至，然心嚮往之。”作為追求人生至善的情懷。願與諸君共勉！
