Since 2010, M.U.S.T. has awarded honorary doctorates to individuals who have made valuable contributions to societal development, as well as those who have made outstanding contributions to the University, local community, or in academic fields. This not only reflects society's recognition of the University's educational philosophy and achievements but also provides strong support for the University's goal of "building a distinctive and influential international University." Until March 27, 2024, the University has conferred Honorary Doctoral Degrees to 85 remarkable individuals, including 8 Nobel Prize Laureates and 26 Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Among the Honorary Doctorates, 38 are from Mainland China, 26 from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and 21 from foreign countries.
