UIC Programs Receiving External Quality Assurance Agency Affirmation

Quality assurance helps institutions of higher education to maintain quality in educational services they provide. Two of UIC’s programs participated in the program review process. The program review process followed the framework provided by the Macao Government: completion of self-evaluation reports against a set of program review criteria, evaluation by external QA panel members, responses to recommendations from the panel through the completion of action plans, and affirmation of the action plans by the panel.

The two programs, Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language Studies (BAFLS) and Master of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (MTCL), successfully completed the program review process evaluated by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), a selected External Quality Assurance Agency (EQAA) by the Macau Government. After careful reviews by a selected panel consisting of six members from academia institutions, the panel affirmed both the self-evaluation report (SER) and the action plan (AP).

Participating in program review processes provides opportunities for continuous enhancement of our programs, and benefits our students with more added-value from those degree programs.
