II. Duration of Study
The normal study period of Master of Film Production program is two years. The maximum study period is 3 years. (Students admitted in or before academic year 2018/2019, please refer to the rules and regulations as stipulated in the intake academic year study plan).

VI. Study Requirements
- Students are required to complete and pass the former six compulsory courses and four elective courses in the first 3 semesters to gain 30 credits.
- Students need to complete 120 hours internship during the second and third semester to get 6 credits.
- After finishing each course, students will be assessed by different ways depending on regulations established by the instructor and the Macau Academy of Cinematic Arts.
- Students have to complete an original research master’s thesis which is not less than 20000 words, or finish an original graduation project together with a statement not less than 8000 words. Then they need to pass the thesis oral defense to gain totally 12 credits.
- If the student passes all courses but does not pass the final defense during the specified maximum study period, he/she can only get a completion certificate.
VII. Duration of the Program
The duration for taking all courses is 18 months and the duration for thesis writing/ graduation project is 6 months.
VIII. Qualification for GraduationUpon approval from the Senate of the University, a Master/Doctoral Degree will be conferred on a student when he or she has:
- Completed and met the requirements prescribed in the study plan of his or her program within the specific study period, a cumulative GPA (excluding thesis/dissertation) must not lower than 2.5
- Abided by the regulations of the University
- Cleared all fees and charges and returned all University property and equipment borrowed
If students pass all courses required in Form 1 and 2 above with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, but fail the final defense during the specified period, he/she only can get a completion certificate.
