To meet the new requirements of innovative development of tourism and provide guidance for the diversified development of tourism in the future, the Tourism Research Frontier 2022 “Tourism+” Forum was successfully held at the University of Macau on October 21, 2022. Finally, the academic poster themed “Exploring the Causes and Effects of the Event Image in the Post-epidemic Era”, jointly developed by FHTM Assistant Professor Xu Ye and her doctoral student Xia Fangyu, stood out among many contributors and won the Best Research Poster Award in this forum. Another university to receive an award in the same category was Fudan University. In terms of the Best Research Paper, the awards were respectively awarded to participants from the Nankai University and the Tianjin University of Finance and Economics.
The forum was supported by the SSCI Q1 Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research (JHTR) and the CSSCI journal Tourism Science. Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Mr. Qian Jiannong, Chairman of Fosun Tourism Culture, and Prof. Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, delivered keynote speeches, jointly elaborating on various new business models of global tourism and the future development of tourism in Macao. Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of FHTM, Professor Zhao Jinlin, Associate Professor Zhang Yang, Associate Professor Wong Weng Chou, Assistant Professor Xu Ye, Assistant Professor Kim Yongjoong, and ten postgraduate students attended the forum.
FHTM Team Won the Best Research Poster Award
Doctoral student Xia Fangyu thanked FHTM for providing him with such a platform for learning and communicating, and he also was very grateful to his supervisor Dr. Xu Ye for her guidance.
